Summer Flower Tub Planting
Friday, June 20th, 4:30pm-6:30pm (meet in front of the Oberlin Bookstore)
Join the Main Street Oberlin Design Committee as they make downtown more colorful by planting Canna Lilies, Lantana, Scaevola, and Petunias in the downtown flower tubs. Please bring gardening gloves and a spade, if possible. This is a great volunteer opportunity for families, scout troops, and others.
Summer Concert
Friday, June 20th, 7:00om at Tappan Square
“Cats on Holiday” will fill the square with sounds of country, Cajun, and blues.
CHALK WALK!
Saturday, June 21st, 10:00-4:00pm in downtown Oberlin
This FREE event is open to the public. Watch master artists create their works of art – OR – create your own art on the sidewalks downtown. Enjoy live music and entertainment as well. Chalk and materials are provided.

Saturdays at the Schoolhouse
When: Saturdays, drop in any time between 12 noon and 2:00 p.m.
Where: Oberlin Heritage Center’s Little Red Schoolhouse (behind 73 South Professor Street, Oberlin)
What: Families can explore the Schoolhouse together, experience historic school lessons, and play old-fashioned games.
Cost: Free. Children must be accompanied by an adult

Learn about the earliest residents of Oberlin, hear fascinating stories of triumph and misfortune linked to the landmarks around Tappan Square, and walk away with a lively appreciation of Oberlin's unique heritage. Whether you've lived in the Oberlin area forever, are new, or visiting, everyone will find much to enjoy. Allow 1 hour and 15 minutes for the tour.
Historic Marker Dedication
Friday, June 27th, noon on the New Union Center Lawn
You are invited to the dedication of a new Ohio Historical Marker for Downtown Oberlin. The occasion will celebrate the designation of the Downtown Oberlin National Register Historic District as the latest historical place to be recognized with a marker in Oberlin. Following the brief ceremony, light refreshments will be served, courtesy of downtown Oberlin restaurants. Note that this marker will be permanently installed at the southwest corner of Main and College Streets in downtown Oberlin. (In case of rain, the dedication event will be moved to the Oberlin Public Library’s meeting room, 65 South Main Street).
